In my second year of studying nutrition, I volunteered at a community garden in Tucson. This garden had so much extra basil growing. I was always able to take home as much basil as I wanted. This gave me lots of opportunities to make homemade basil, and this is my favorite way!

Homemade vs. Store Bought Pesto

Pesto is a delicious and easy spread to add to so many recipes. Store-bought pesto is more convenient. However, after trying this recipe, you will not want to buy store-bought pesto ever again. Homemade pesto includes fresh ingredients, giving the pesto a more refreshing and vibrant taste.
