Ingredients

  • Freshly grated Parmesan (plate grater recommended)

  • Fresh garlic, grated on a plate grater

  • Fresh basil, finely minced

  • High-quality extra virgin olive oil

  • Balsamic vinegar (to taste)

Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes or black pepper for extra flavor

Instructions

  • Grate the Parmesan and garlic directly into a small bowl. A plate grater gives a fine texture that blends smoothly.

  • Mince the basil finely and add it to the bowl. Fresh herbs brighten the dip and add antioxidants.

  • Drizzle in olive oil gradually, stirring to create a emulsified dip.

  • Add balsamic vinegar slowly, tasting as you go, until the tang balances the richness of the cheese and oil.

 

  • Serve immediately with crusty bread
