Fall Hot Cocoa
This hot cocoa is a great treat on a cozy autumn night. The flavors of cinnamon and nutmeg compliment the vanilla and chocolate, creating a seasonal twist on the classic hot cocoa. This warm drink for those who have a sweet tooth, but want to enjoy a fall flavored drink. This is a drink meant to be shared with loved ones
Ways to Make It Personal
This recipe is perfect for the hot cocoa and the whipped cream. To make it fun, use different fall themed mugs to make the drink feel like the season. Once the whipped cream is added, I like to add sprinkles or a sprinkle of cinnamon, to make it looks pretty and feel special. If you do not want whipped cream, you can also get creative with what marshmallows you want to use.
Why Make Homemade Over Store bought Hot Cocoa
I used to be a big fan of mixing my hot cocoa with the pre-made mix and milk. That was until I tried homemade hot cocoa. The first time I had homemade, I was in my culinary club in high school. We were having a gingerbread house contest (where we made the houses fully from scratch). To get into the holiday spirit before winter break, my culinary teacher whipped us up a large batch of homemade hot cocoa. It was so delicious, that I wanted to make my own homemade hot cocoa recipe. It is more creamy, rich, and chocolatey. Here is my recipe I came up with, and I hope you enjoy it as much as my loved ones and I do 🙂
