Pumpkin Patch Blondies

Ingredients

– 1 cup butter

– 1 cup brown sugar

– 3/4 cup granulated sugar

– 2 large eggs

– 2 tsp vanilla

– chocolate chips

–  2 1/2 cups flour

– 1 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp baking powder

– 2 tsp cornstarch

For frosting:

– 1 cup unsalted butter

– 3 cups powdered sugar

– 1 tsp vanilla

– 1-2 tbsp milk

– orange food coloring

Instructions

1. preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line 8×11 pan with parchment paper, making sure it covers the sides and all parts of the inside of the pan.

2. In a large bowl, beat the sugars and melted butter for 2 minutes and combined well.

3. Beat in vanilla and egg. On low speed, slowly mix in cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and flour, adding a small amount at a time.

4. Fold in chocolate chips. Transfer into lined pan and spread with spatula to even it throughout pan.

5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Allow to cool.

6. Transfer blondies out of the pan and onto a cutting board. Cut into 16 squares.

Frosting:

1. in large bowl, beat butter until smooth. Then add sugar and vanilla. Add milk 1 tsp at a time until at desired consistency – good for piping but firm

2. add some orange in majority of frosting, and put some to the side and add some green.

3. Using piping bag and tip to pipe onto brownies into pumpkin shapes. Allow frosting to set before serving.
